Subcontractor's "Invitation to Bid"

When ONETEAM delivers your bid invitation you are identified as the “Sender” of the message. The subject will read “Invitation to Bid” from you. Your name will be inserted for personalization. We do not include the “Project Title” in the subject because we do not want your subcontractors making bidding decisions based on the title. We want them to click through to review the full project information before responding with their bid status.

Your “Invitation to Bid” is branded with your company’s logo that links to your “Premium ProView”. Many GC ONETEAM users credit their “Premium ProView” for increased subcontractor responses because it enables them to introduce their company’s qualifications and experiences. This information makes the subcontractors more comfortable to respond when they do not know your company.

The project image that you uploaded will help get the subcontractor’s attention and interest and it will lead their eyes to the project’s information, including any notes that you added prior to messaging.

If the subcontractor can make a bidding decision from just the bid invitation, they can click on the appropriate response button at the bottom of the ITB – Bidding, Undecided, or Not Bidding. If they already have a bid prepared, they can submit it right from the ITB. All of these responses are recorded on your “Activity Stream” and under your “Project Reports”.

Typically, your invited subcontractor will need to review the project's plans and specifications before making any bidding decisions. They can easily access your plan room – without a password – from their private, secure portal – or workspace – by clicking on the “View Project Files” button at the top of the ITB or the plan room link.
